Hands up for those of you who had managed to watch CSI:New York on cable. Do you agree with me that the two male and female lead characters should be making whoopee with each other ? Somehow Gary Sinise and Melina Kanakaredes click. No prizes for guessing which TV programme I am currently watching. She's soooooo hot ! *sizzles*
My take on CSI:New York, producers listen up. Do something different for this particular series. Get the leads together. No, but seriously, if you are an avid follower of CSI series you would have noticed that the characters have no social life ! Aside from inferences of their past lives (Mac Taylor) and Catherine's relationship in Season 3 and Warren's married status in the latest season, the rest of the leads have absolutely no social lives. *sighs* Realistically, this does not bode well to those criminologists wannabe !
Okay, as you all have guessed, this is leading up to the fact that CSI: New York is finally coming to our screens !!! This is in consideration of the collaborative episode of CSI:Miami with CSI:New York tonight ! And LOST is coming back for the second season !!! Check out the trailers for the returning show ... Cool or what ?!?

I am not black, I'm brown
Goodness ... I am stuck at work yet another night. Although I am rushing home to catch the new season of CSI on Ch 19. For the uninitiated, CSI series are the best of the west, in my little blue book. So here I am rushing this off to tell people who are interested that I am finally off work !!!
Night owl.

Love me please, just a little bit longer
Gold Breakfast - Morning Show.
Yas & Hamish threw out this parting shot before the news feed at 8 am. What is it about your sweetheart that you like most (or something along that line) ?
So I texted this to them: GB My sweetheart makes the best tuna sandwiches this side of town. =p
And the reply came in 15 minutes later.
is that what you call it these days......haha!!
And I had a silly smile on my face, that is until the flowers came.

Help .... I need somebody
Someone in my block is seriously stealing my bandwidth. My connection's been slower than usual. Gotta get to the bottom of this issue. Meanwhile, what can be done to minimise this theft ? Help please. Suggestions on the silent. Thanks much !

The day after.
Ironically, a date was set up for yesterday by Fie to meet up with Sha and I. Tuesday was the day that the SMS came in to ask if I would be free either on Friday night or Saturday. Mixed feelings awashed when I saw the text. I was contemplating non response but courtesy prevails. I certainly would love to hear and see my "buddies".
No offence, I do not mean to slag people but I guess I had to use the term loosely. So anyways, I decided to bite the bullet and a date was set for Saturday. I must admit, I contemplated a last minute work or Mom thing to cancel on the girls. But, corny as it may sound, I did miss Fie. She was practically MIA for a few months, uncontactable by mobile or by net. I figured, there might have been an invitation card lurking somewhere. After all, this is the season of love (aren't we all glad we are, dear ?).
I saw Fie on Level 4 of Far East Plaza, her striding down the corridor in front of 77th Street in a purple top. She looked different. Glowing, I might add. And she ceased to look aneroxeic. She had filled out, in all the right places, I might be inclined to add. And just like before, we catch up like it was just last week we had not seen each other. Sha couldn't meet us until later, so I pretty much guessed where her priorities lie.
Fie and I had a late lunch and we basically pound the streets of Orchard. Wisma Atria, Borders, Shaw House, Mac Cafe, our resting spot. And we chatted and each minute the hand on the clock moved, I dreaded the time until the circle of three gets completed. I knew then as I knew now, so many times before that 3 is always a crowd. Fie was delighted when Sha finally arrived. I was more subdued. I had my time with Fie and so I bowed to the fact other people's life is so much more interesting than mine.
And so, 20 minutes before 11, I begged off. I told them I will be taking the bus. I had hoped and prayed fervently inside that Sha would not decide to do the same. Some stupid excuse to get away to meet my dear. I know, silly as it may seemed but I needed to assess the day with someone who understands me. And so after a bit of deliberation, Fie and Sha walked away to take the train home.
I walked in the opposite direction, towards the designated meeting spot. Thank you dear for being there when I needed someone to provide that listening ear. I still need to sort out my thoughts. I will keep you posted.

Have a little faith in me
You know what I've come to realise ? Mother can read people really well. We were sitting around the CS counter after work just now and got round to discussing the women we wanted to hook up for Ian. Then we got round to all the single fellas in school and before I knew it, we were talking about the type of people we can see ourselves end up with. As usual, knowing my penchant for living up until 40 (15 more years!), we agreed that I should end up with an older man. Old-er ... Everyone had a good laugh, imagining Yogee with her biker dude and Ian with his Pammie look alike.
So anyways, Dini will try to hook up Ian with one of her friends. Also, Mother and Dini decided that there should be an ice breaker session ala speed dating with every single staff. I can't wait for it. 5 minutes of "Hellos" and "How are yous" might be good for the soul.
But dude, I am still yours. *grins*

Me love shoppin'
Pardon the incorrect grammar on the title of the post. I am just delirious. Seriously, I love to shop ! I will hoard my savings for a few months and then ... Spend like no one's business. What a day today, phew !
It was a day's out with my 2 favourite girls. My mom and Aaliyah. First stop was to get new lenses. So off we go to Queensway Shopping Centre to my favourite optical shop. While we were there, who ever could resist getting Mom a new pair of glasses ? So we both got our spoils. Then we walked to Brickworks Estate to Blk 2 of Jalan Bukit Merah. Who ever could resist the lovely smells of the chicken rice ? Not me ! After lunch we took bus 14 to Tekka Market. Passed by Orchard Road, where the preparations for tonight's Chingay was in full swing. Cool ...
After which, we went to Tampines. Firstly to get me a new optical mouse. Wired one, of course. And also to get the Xbox Super Heroes Pack. I managed one item on that list. Guess which ? I would have to make my way down to Sim Lim later in the week to get the games. Final stop. Bata. We managed to get Ahmad his first proper shoes ! *joy* Oh, and not forgetting my lovely Yayah ... She got a pair of shoes too !
I made my way to Bedok Library and so I am totally wiped out now. But I'm happy ! Shopping makes me happy. Getting to borrow interesting books makes me happy ! Spending time with my 2 gals, is the icing on the cake. All righty then. Gonna watch Wimbledon on HBO now. More later.
Toodles !
